Conversion: the TR code needs to be stripped out of the layout layer. Image urls need to be changed. Extra propgroups need to be subbed to appropriate Style > Colors groups in the layout .pm file (see Funky Circles pm for an example).

Also: I was going to wait until the function for moving nav links between sidebar and header was ironed out, but that's clearly still in process. At the moment, this does it purely by css. If it seems better, in the end, to do it in the html, I suggest that option be cranked into the core layer, the same way the userpic side switching option was.

All icons used in the base layout were used as-is, but some of the theme icons where modified (I made arrows in different colours by tweaking hue/saturation). I made the background myself and am happy for it to be used on the site.

I think I've set everything to be viewable and public so hopefully those previews will work. That sample theme is just one of a few I've been working on - so when this is all tested and everyone's happy, there should be quite a few to choose from.

I've tagged this as unclaimed as it needs testing by someone who is not me (I've done a bit, but more would be a very good thing). But I am keen to see this through to the end and make any patches that are necessary and all that jazz.

Additional info (for layouts): It's a three-column layout with (currently) no options for two- or one-column versions, though all the modules should be able to be moved around from either sidebar. Looks better if you have the "tertiary" sidebar longer than the "secondary" sidebar, though.

Version two of my previous attempt that I'm (finally-- I'm so slow) ready to look into converting. Would anyone be able to help walk me through that? I keep getting kind of confused by the process, but I'd like to know how to do it myself, if possible, so I can do it in the future.

Hopefully I'm submitting this correctly.

This is, in some ways, a proof of concept for something I suspected was true but wanted to find out for sure. I made a color theme for every current official style to match this year's NaNoWriMo webbadges. Once I worked out the basic color scheme, I was able to port to most system styles with minimal adjustment. A couple of branchandroot's styles call the color of an element from a non-standard place (e.g., the footer link in Stepping Stones gets it color from the pagetitle), a few I adjusted for minor aesthetic reasons (usually adjacent blocks of the same color making an odd shape), and I did Transmogrified completely differently because the alternating entry colors can be controlled via the wizard.

They are, at the moment, all named NNWM 2009, but that might be confusing. If I could get comments on that as well, I'd appreciate it.

This got tested when it was CSS, but this is my first conversion, and I'm just not sure it works as expected. If you could take a look at it and tell me if it worked okay, I'd really appreciate it. (If something doesn't work, it's very helpful to get your browser and version number.)

This should work for all column configurations except "none", which returns a giant mess. If you have any ideas about how to get something legible from none, I'd love to hear it.

I've tested this as extensively as possible, but I'd really appreciate it if someone would take a look and let me know if anything needs fixing. The layout should work in all configurations -- one column, two columns left, three columns sides, etc.

I'll be away in internet-less lands for maybe two, three days (scary!) starting tomorrow, so I might not be able to reply immediately.

I'd also like to try to make and submit a patch for this one, if that's ok? It may take a lot of hand-holding -- I've never submitted a patch before! :) I've tagged it as "unclaimed" for now, though.

Peculiarities: This layout has rounded corners in all modern browsers except IE and Opera; in those two it degrades gracefully to square corners. This will continue until Opera and IE adopt the CSS3 border-radius standard, at which point it will be rounded for them too. It would be good if there were some way to indicate the current state of affairs in the thumbnail, but off the bat I can't think of one.
