Additional info: I noticed that
color_entry_metadata_text
and color_entry_title
weren't actually changing the colors, so I went and applied them using CSS.

The general text is a little dark on Snow Cherries but that color combination is beyond beautiful.
Really love these so much, especially 'In The Bag' =D

Is it better now? I was going back and forth on the text color, but I couldn't decide if I wanted almost black or just really dark grey.

Again, these are lovely!

I assume you meant http://manhattan-trash.net/skittlish/a_bg.gif and so on.

ETA: Fixed now. God bless iPods and wifi.

I don't know if I can help because I'm on Windows and I use PuTTY and I know how *this* works but if you're on another OS things can be a little different. (Well, simpler I guess).
P.S. The key thing is that you need to create the patch before you edit the files otherwise you have to force patch creation... I'm trying to remember the command.
P.P.S. Well simply hg qnew -f

I'm on a Mac, but there didn't seem to be much of a difference between this and Windows, aside from not having to switch between two programs -- actually, I mostly used the Windows directions, since they were clearer.

Oh, that's what I did wrong. From the directions, it seemed like creating the patch was the last thing you were supposed to do. Oops.

May I ask which directions you've used? Because I've written a guide for Windows people and I'd like to make it better if it leads to confusion. :)
Try hg qnew -f then. I know I've used it a lot at first because I kept forgetting creating the patch.

I assigned it to myself when I created it and didn't realize I had to change the status, so my bad on that, too.
hg qnew -f has created my patch, yay! So, sure, I'll patch these themes.
no subject
No worries, it happens.
Brill!
P.S. Oh and http://bugs.dwscoalition.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2761 in case you hadn't seen it.

A question about the guide: when it says to save the patch to your computer, is it referring to a specific way to do that which only works in WinSCP, or is there a way that works for everyone?

BTW, if nobody's available in IRC, remember you can also post to dw_dev_training. I've always gotten fast answers this way. :)

You know, this makes me think that it'd be nice to add things for Mac people to my guide ( like ok Mac people you don't need to do that or you need to do that instead). Or to create an alternate version. Would you help with that?
Anyway, I'm adding what you've mentioned to the Talk page so that it doesn't get lost.

I think it's great actually! And I believe it helps when you're a newbie yourself because you don't skip the 'easy' parts and remember beginners' mistakes.

ETA: Actually, no, I'm good. Further examination of the layout layer tells me it works just the way I thought it did, and I should have trusted my instincts on this one.
