Oh you need to assign this bug to yourself (even if it's temporary) because I was about to fix it. I don't know if I can help because I'm on Windows and I use PuTTY and I know how *this* works but if you're on another OS things can be a little different. (Well, simpler I guess).
P.S. The key thing is that you need to create the patch before you edit the files otherwise you have to force patch creation... I'm trying to remember the command. P.P.S. Well simply hg qnew -f
