Tabula Rasa / Funky Circles

Theme name/layout: Funky Circles / Tabula Rasa
Author: [personal profile] ninetydegrees
Layout info: theme layer
Image info: the layout's got five images. I've made them all myself.

The layout looks fancier in Firefox but this shouldn't cause any problem in other browsers. However, the top bubbles are not exactly aligned (to account for shadows) so it may look a little weird in other browsers. I'd like feedback on that, please.

Oh and if anyone can think of a better name? My working title was Champagne but I didn't think it fitted. [personal profile] cesy did!

Edit: I forgot to say it should work with all layout types.

Oh, that's rather cool. Thanks, that was very easy to do, and helped me figure out another way to backup my normal style.

Interestingly, the font for the journal title/subtitle/"Recent Entries" changes between FF3 and IE7.

I generally prefer a bit more indentation for threaded comments, as I can't tell which comments are nested on this, but I think that's just a personal preference thing.

I really like this style - it's funky and a bit different. Once you've got it sorted, could we have some other color-sets, please, as this one's a bit dark for me?

That's much better for comment threads where everyone has normal-size userpics. On http://cesy.dreamwidth.org/154770.html#comments there are several anonymous comments with no icon, so that needs something else, I think. Possibly we just live with it where there's no icon, or possibly you have a bright idea. Obviously you could put in an empty icon space, but that tends to look silly.

Pale blue and pale green versions would be good.

Not enough. Possibly there's a little too much when the comment/reply are the other way around, but that's much less of a problem for me.

Has the layerid changed? I can't get it to work at all now.

I got it working again - my style had just forgotten the layerid.

Anyway, yes, that's much better, thank you.

I like it. I'd suggest making the bubbles in the corner paler and greener, and one of the entry subject link colours (I'm not sure if it's visited or unvisited) is a pale hard-to-read blue instead of the better-looking black. Maybe change that to a mid-to-dark-green? The tag links and "Leave a comment" links also appear to be black-on-dark-grey, whereas white-on-dark-grey would work better.

That looks pretty good to me. As you say, it's blue-green rather than pure green, but it looks good.
