☆ Styles: no changes!

☆ Themes: 444 submitted, 317 live (71%), 13 committed, 0 patched, 29 claimed, 85 unclaimed (19%). 34 new themes have gone live this month. I didn't use to keep track of the number of new themes per month so I can't say for sure but I think this may be some kind of record. Also we hit the 300 mark! Yay!

☆ Many, many thanks to you all for your contributions, particularly to new designers cheyinka, kerravonsen and musyc, and to everyone who's provided feedback on submissions.

☆ Styles which could use a few more themes are still EasyRead, Sunday Morning, and Tabula Rasa as well as Bases, Drifting and Nouveau Oleanders.

☆ There are 15 themes for existing styles waiting to be patched. As usual, if you're interested but don't know where to start, just ask. :)

If I may ask, what's the general wait time on DW points for contributing? (If that's still happening? I can't find any info on it except half-remembered comments at this point).

It tends to happen when I remember *g* (I try for within a couple of days of the code push when the themes went live, for simplicity's sake).

Have lined things up; you should get an email notification about points soon-ish.

I'm interested in patching themes. Where do I start?

First thing's first: how well do you know how the style system and layers work? If you know that, we can get you started on the other parts! Otherwise, it's tutorial time.

Um, I know how to make layers and how to make a layout layer and theme layer into a style. Is that enough?

That's not enough but that's great as it means you already know how S2 works. Which operating system are you on? There are several guides explaining how to make patches and I'd like to direct you to the best one for you.
