Asafuna requested, I'm posting this layout here. It has been tested for some views in IE and Mozilla, but I'm pretty sure there's a lot to be improved/tested still. I won't be able to make necessary edits to this layout nor to convert it due to pressure from university but anyone is welcome to make any edits they see fit and convert it!

In the /*COMMENT PAGE*/ section you go from me, this appears:

}
The bolded line might be what's causing the problem. I think I made my light grey area bigger than in the original and thus changed the position of the interaction links. Making 308 a smaller number might fix it.
