As [personal profile] afuna requested, I'm posting this layout here. It has been tested for some views in IE and Mozilla, but I'm pretty sure there's a lot to be improved/tested still. I won't be able to make necessary edits to this layout nor to convert it due to pressure from university but anyone is welcome to make any edits they see fit and convert it!

Oh, that's nifty! I really liked that layout, used it on a journal of mine, and am looking forward to it getting polished and offered as an official style.

I love this layout and used it on a character journal ([personal profile] notsopeaceful), where I made a few edits, including the addition of a custom comments page.

Is it possible you can post the additions you made?

Or...maybe I should ask [personal profile] afuna or [personal profile] foxfirefey to ask you, all official, like. :)

If you view the page source for [personal profile] notsopeaceful, you'll see that I divided the stylesheet up in sections. You can just copy the sections of the stylesheet I have labeled /*REPLY FORMS*/ and /*COMMENT PAGE*/. :)

Ok - thanks!

At a quick glance, it looks fine in IE7 - there are a couple of things where I wondered if it was intentional or not, like the buttons under a comment being in a vertical list, but nothing that stood out as obviously wrong apart from where I had the tags in a list instead of a cloud, contrary to [personal profile] lily's notes.

Hi Lily,

I may have time to work on this but I would need some screenshots of what this layout is supposed to look like, without my screen size, font size, etc. interfering. Could you upload one for me?

I'm testing this layout.

Well, one is, probably just a personal thing. I found the text really small, and using the wizard to increase it didn't do anything, as the size was overridden by the custom stylesheet.

The colors are really excellent, and complementary, although the entry content link colors are slightly more muted, closer to the background color. Also, the dark blue and the dark red on dark gray for the blockquotes I find to be really hard to read for me. Perhaps not for others.

The comment pages, as noted sort of/then don't work. That is, I click on my comment pages to read the comment, then add a comment to test, and the page loses its styling. Hopefully [personal profile] sarken will come to the rescue?

ETA:
[personal profile] sarken did, and I applied the extra bits of CSS, which led to the logged in .userlite-interaction-links that normally appears below the profile to appear in the middle of the first entry.

I'll make a screen shot if anyone asks.

Bueller?

Ack, disregard 90% of the previous version of this comment.

In the /*COMMENT PAGE*/ section you go from me, this appears:

.userlite-interaction-links {
position: absolute;
top: 308px;
left: 50%;
margin-left: -300px;
}

.userlite-interaction-links ul {
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
}

.userlite-interaction-links li {
display: inline;
}

The bolded line might be what's causing the problem. I think I made my light grey area bigger than in the original and thus changed the position of the interaction links. Making 308 a smaller number might fix it.
