Stats

☆ Styles: one upcoming new style by timeasmymeasure (Compartmentalize) and three submissions - no less! - by branchandroot. These should be relatively easy to patch so might go live during the next code push too (depends on when it happens ;).

☆ Themes: there are potentially 30 new themes for existing styles which could go live during the next push. For now, 21 are a sure thing and 9 are claimed.

☆ Styles which could use a few more themes are Basic Boxes, EasyRead, Modish, Sunday Morning, and Tabula Rasa. Boxes and Borders and Nouveau Oleanders now have 12 and 10 themes respectively thanks to dancing_serpent and timeasmymeasure. You rock, ladies!

Can someone ask the DW legal person about whether background images are allowable when they involve samples (in non-recognizable form) of copyrighted images from a commercial site? If those are okay, if the same rules apply here as for collage art, then I can probably kick my current Tabula Rasa theme into shape for release.

Not yet. At least it sounds like she's feeling better lately, so I won't feel so bad about bugging her!

Compartmentalize is a great layout.

I'm having a problem with theming Modish. I needed to tweak a few things with CSS, so I figured I would use function print_stylesheet so I could reference colors I set above. It still works on my Skittlish Dreams layers, but it seems to strip the stylesheet out of Modish and leave me with Taula Rasa. It works fine if I use set custom_css instead, although that way I can't use $*color_page_background or what have you.

(I have no idea if this is related, but previewing styles mostly stopped working for me as well -- I can only preview styles I've made, and not styles on this community or on the select style page.)

Ah, thank you! Both of those fixes worked.

Although I'm curious, why does print_stylesheet work with Skittlish Dreams theme layers and not Modish?

That makes sense, I think. If it treats Tabula Rasa as print_default_stylesheet, the Modish CSS as print_stylesheet, and then the color themes for Modish as print_theme_stylesheet, using print_styleshet in a Modish theme layer would (and does) override all the Modish CSS and leave you with a themed Tabula Rasa. Since Skittlish Dreams isn't a child of Tabula Rasa, print_default_stylesheet is the Skittlish CSS, so print_stylesheet doesn't override anything.
