(I've tried to test this in as many browsers as possible, but more people testing things never hurts, if anyone wants to... Also, there is a weird glitch in IE where the "tags" link at the top for some reason displays fine, but does not actually act as a link; if anyone knows how to fix that, that would be great. Seems to work okay in all the other browsers I've tried so far.)

I do notice that the area behind the navigation links (recent entries/reading/archive/etc) is still the default orange of Transmo, though: is that deliberate?

EDIT: Nevermind. I forgot to turn off the Transmo stylesheet. *facepalm*

Hi, I really likes these.

I tested the green/violet ones in IE7, Opera 9, FF3.5 and Safari 4 and they looked fabulous. Good job. :)

These look quite nice though I do think the leave a comment link etc are a bit small.

I'm having a trouble with the links at the top - the recent entries, the like - overlapping.

What browser and resolution are you using? I'll take a look and see if I can fix anything.

Firefox 3.0.12 (in the process of d/l 3.0.13, that might fix it) and res of 1024x768.

... hm. Could you have a look at c_layout_test and let me know how that looks for you? I tried just setting it to a fixed width.

I just added the line

.module-section-one {width: 900px; display: block;}

to the CSS. I'll change it over in the linked text files too.

Hm, popping in, I think this could cause accessibility implications for people with small screens (or things could still wrap if they have large fonts). IS there any way to change it so that if the navigation links wrap, they don't overlap?

A line-height on the header navigation links perhaps? Though that'll move everything down, even if it's just one line. Hmm.

I tried adding this:

to c_layout_test. How does that look for you? It looks okay on my screen/resolution - I haven't been able to check it in Opera though, or 800x600.

Oh! And checked in IE7, and the tags link looks okay, but I wonder if there could be something overlapping it? Title/subtitle perhaps? (Specific journal I can look at instead of trying to apply to my own journal? *G*)

I've got Sunday Morning set up on c_layout_test just for testing and trying-out purposes - I could easily make you an admin of that so you can poke around with its code, if you want. :)

The "tags" link looks ok for me in IE7 as well though now - maybe it was a weird IE6 glitch? I'm not sure what version I was using when I originally tested it.

Hmm, if it's IE6, we can ignore it. If it turns up again, we can investigate (but hopefully that doesn't happen).

And tempting! But on the other hand, we're just about finished, I think (or hope), so we may not need to *grin*

I'll use the red version, it is lovely. I am using Firefox 3.0.13 and everything works fine.

If no one else testing finds other issues (and I think all currently known ones are resolved?), I'll start work on making this an official layout over this weekend.

Hm, why is the page-tags treated specially? Is there an issue that affects only that page?

... I actually am not sure. I think I may have been struggling with it looking weird in IE and ended up just trying to make it look non-awful? Either way, your fix looks great.

Hi, it's me again! Sorry for the comment spam.

In the process of converting the layout to use variables (and I really enjoy working with your layout, so *gorgeous*), I tweaked a couple of things. As much as possible, I tried to keep the appearance as close to the original. FYI, list of the things that I tweaked:

* added colors for visited links
* removed most of the changes to the tags page
* converted some font sizes and spacing to em (
* made #container relative (so that the sidebar would be relative to the #container, not to account for variation in positioning when navstrip is enabled/disabled)
* removed the "display: none" for individual modules
* made it not possible to move modules to the footer; moved "powered by" module to the sidebar


If you want to take a look (and make sure I didn't destroy the layout *g*), the three I've converted so far are on my testing environment:
