2 NaNoWriMo themes

Image info: Uses nanowrimo_participant_03_120x90.png (I'm currently rehosting it), one of the NaNoWriMo 2010 web badges. I've gotten permission to use the image, and have forwarded that permission to denise and fu.
Two themes were already submitted for Practicality based on the web badges this year - I'm not sure what name to give mine to separate it from those, or if this one's too similar.

Image info: Uses the same image as above.

I don't have the S2 knowledge to know if it's possible to let someone using the themes turn the web badge itself on or off. (If it is possible without being a lot of work, that'd be neat!) I tagged the entry conversion because there's some CSS in both of them that I'm not sure how to convert any further.

Do you have permission to use NaNoWriMo as the name as well? Or isn't it copyrighted?

It's used in the web badge, so I didn't think to ask specifically, but the FAQ makes me wonder if it's covered under "Software and applications". Hmm. "November 2010" would work for either of them, wouldn't it?

It's the first theme I've put a name to that wasn't just for my own use, so I don't know what would sound good! "November 2010" would work for now, but it'll be awfully cryptic by January 2011, won't it?

I can't use NaNoWriMo itself, so I'm thinking "NaNo Grounded" (for the brown/gray background, and that way I can do "Sky" if a bluer one occurs to me).

Hmmmm. When the text is very large in Modular (or at least if zoomed in sufficiently) it starts going over the top of the background image and becomes unreadable. (It doesn't seem to do that in Practicality, even when it's extremely large.)

How large, please? And in which browser? I tested it with a 36px font size and it worked for me in a 1024px large resolution.

Edit: oh and is it the titles which overlap of the navigation menu or both?

In Chrome, with normal font sizes when zoomed in past 150%; I tried it again by scaling up the font, which I hadn't realized would make a difference, and it was completely fine @ 48pt, so false alarm, disregard, sorry!

Yeah, it's weird how zooming vs increased font sizing can sometimes give different results. It's a good think you remarked on that, though. I've modified things a bit to mitigate potential issues. Thank you!

Would it be possible to hide the badge and use it as-is otherwise? It's a really nice theme. Can it be tweaked in other ways, too, if one wishes? (Actually, can it be used on DW at all? Denise's comment is giving me a slight case of the heebie-jeebies).

Thank you for the response. That is one cool theme, and with winter coming, I'm liking tan/brown themes again, so I might tweak that one up a little, soon. :)

ninetydegrees figured out how to make it possible to hide the badge, the theme itself can be tweaked as much as you like, and I specifically obtained permission from the Office of Letters and Light to use the badge! It's just that the permission was "Yes, as long as you don't alter the image" rather than "Yes, you're free to do whatever you like with it", which means it has to go into nonfree.

Thanks for the clarifications! I will most likely hide the badge, since I've never been much into NaNoWriteMo (in fact, I've never been into NaNoWriteMo at all). :)
