Three themes for Heads Up

First of all, these are all fixed-width (800 pixels wide). denise said that was all right here. Well... actually she said it would be all right to have one fixed-width layout, but I already had all three of these in progress when I asked. :x If three is too many then just feel free to pick one, I guess (I'm fond of Reliable and LomL). (And if three isn't too many, I have several more potential header images I can use...)

Not too sure on how to make the header text visible here. I cheated with a text shadow that isn't usually part of Heads Up but am open to other suggestions.

The first banner is lovely! I think however that the background is a little too intense in colour and that a less bright yellow would look better with the banner. Something like #ffde77 maybe?

How about white header text? There isn't much white in that part of the banner after all.

It doesn't look that great IMO. I've temporarily changed the code so you can see for yourself. But then again it looks like your journal title is shorter than mine, so maybe it doesn't overlap with the white toward the center of the image.

Yeah, you're probably right. My subtitle in particular becomes almost unreadable. What a pity. I liked the idea of a white title :-)

(Great use of photos and Love of my Life is my favorite!)

How about using a very dark shadow? This helps make the text pop-up for me on places where the background is lighter.
