I really like Sylph!

However, I'm running into some problems with these on my iThingie. Only one instance of the background is loading on several. (All but Battle Raven on your previous post, all the previews in this post.) Looks like you have a no-repeat on the backgrounds?

I see this happening on the original layout submission, too, now that I check. (Though it's less obvious because the background images have a fade effect that blends into the plain bg color.) The fixed position PLUS the no-repeat? I don't know much about how code renders in iDevices vs. lap/desktop browsers.

I have to say that the text on Sylph is extremely difficult to read. Maybe a bit darker?

I have it on no-repeat but it also loads as a full screen on my browser. I don't have any iThings (yes, I know, I'm behind the times >.>). However, I did set up the backgrounds the same way they were done with the other live Abstractia layouts, so I'm wondering this might be an issue for all of them if it's not loading on your iStuff? Idk.

I could edit the theme layer later, although it shows up OK on my browser. (I made it intentionally low-contrast to be eye-soothing, but if it's enough of an issue I can go fiddle with making it darker. ^^)

Yeah, that's why I said I saw it happening on the original submission too, though I realize I was unclear and should have been more specific that I meant it was also happening in chiming's debut design. :)

In zir themes, the no-repeat isn't obvious because the bg-image has a gradient fade-to-black at the bottom and edges that blends into the plain black page bg, which is why I never noticed before. If you put a blend/fade on your images and matched the page bg to the graphic's primary color, could eliminate the "fixed backgrounds don't stay fixed" issue in the iWossname that I'm seeing.
