Hmmm, the layout itself is very pretty but I don't know about the hover link background colour. On my monitor it clashes a bit with the pink lines of the layout. The layout lines are a sort of dusky rose but the hover link background is a sort of blue-ish pink.

No problem!
#ffbdbb actually looks too yellowish to me. ;) We may not see the colors the same way. #ffbbc8 is the border color (#B35B6B) with the light set to 100% and the saturation set to about 27%.

Yeah, I'm beginning to think it's a difference in how they look on our monitors because #ffbdbb doesn't look yellowish at all to me. (And this is totally why I haven't tried making any colour themes for DW, I would just end up spending all my time contemplating minute differences in colour variations and waffling on which looked best :-)

I had to use a spectrophotometer to calibrate my laptop screen so I'm pretty sure my laptop displays colors slightly differently. It's darker and redder than what I am used to seeing.

You made me realise that I'd completely forgotten to calibrate this screen that I've had since June! Now it's done anyway and yes, now I agree with you, #ffbdbb is tiny bit too yellow :-)
