Notes: Header image tile for Angel Cake was made by me, so it's totally free. And while these are official submissions and not drafts, it's become apparent while sharing some of these around my idea of acceptable contrast maybe differs from the norm. They aren't meant to be high contrast layouts, but I don't want them to be very low contrast either, so if it seems like an issue on preview, please give a shout. I'll probably patch myself, so I can tweak colors a touch.

I really like Chrome (make anything grey/black and I'm on it) and Deep Seas! Moss has a bit of difficulty for me in visibility in the nav menu. If the grey was a couple of shades lighter, it would work better for me.

The tonals were a lot of fun for me, I have a Thing for layers of close shades. And Chrome doubled as a handy way to test the underlying layout in light on dark, as the only provided theme was dark on light.

And noted! That is definitely a thing that can happen :) (the link colors in the nav menu can be styled different from link colors elsewhere for... pretty much this reason)

I have a Thing for layers of close shades.

OH YES. Yes indeed. I inevitably pick one color I like, then hit a color palette generator and select nothing but tonals to go with it. Couple brightnesses up, couple saturations down, whatever, and off I go! XD

The results are always so nice. This layout is really good for tonals because it has a lot of places for different colors, so I may make a few more. Maybe a whole rainbow.

Some of these are a little hard on my eyes, but I'm absolutely in love with Deep Seas.

...What's the base layout for this? I'm not sure I recognize "Strata."

Some of them had me going 'Oh god, I can't believe I'm making this, it's so bright and yet I love it anyway'.

Strata is actually an OLD OLD TR-based layout (originally posted in 2009) that never got patched - I think the original creator claimed the bug and then didn't do anything with it, and then it later got unassigned, and I found it in my sweep of layouts that needed patching. The code's done, though not committed yet - hopefully before the next code push, though.

Indeed! ninetydegrees and I have been going through a lot of the old style backlogs, so I think the next code push is going to have a whackload of new stuff.

Go Team Awesome! Some people can choose one style and stick with it forever, but I like changing things up.
